About the position

The Maintenance Technician at Monarch Investment and Management Group is responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of properties, providing a safe and comfortable living environment for residents. This role involves a variety of tasks including completing work orders, performing preventative maintenance, and responding to emergency situations. The position emphasizes teamwork, responsibility, and a commitment to high-quality service.

Responsibilities

• Completes work orders in a timely manner based on priority.
• Make Ready / Turning apartments in between resident occupancy.
• Painting/Staining both interior and exterior applications.
• Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) needs.
• Maintaining property grounds.
• Preventative maintenance.
• Maintain and keep a clean and organized maintenance shop and other work areas.
• Assist in coverage of a 24/7 emergency cell phone with other team members.

Requirements

• 1+ years' experience in maintenance.
• HVAC Certification Required.
• EPA License Required.
• CPO Certification preferred.
• Working knowledge of plumbing including sweating copper pipe.
• Working knowledge of electrical including outlets, switches, and light fixtures.
• Working knowledge to repair and/or diagnose appliances including refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers, and garbage disposals.
• Water heater knowledge both electric and gas.

Nice-to-haves

• Dry walling including painting and carpentry.
• A physical demonstration of your ability to complete the basic job duties will be required during the interview process.
