About the position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical systems while ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. This role involves conducting inspections, performing repairs, and maintaining equipment to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct regular inspections of facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs.
  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks such as fixing leaks, replacing filters, and repairing electrical and plumbing issues.
  • Ensure that all tools and equipment are in good working condition.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance requests and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
  • Assist with setup and teardown for events or special projects as needed.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs or services when necessary.
  • Keep maintenance areas clean and organized.
  • Adhere to safety regulations and practices to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Support other facilities staff and perform additional duties as required.

Requirements

  • Strong technical background in maintenance and repair.

  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to diagnose routine malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
