About the position

The Maintenance Technician at Quail Ridge Senior Living is responsible for preserving and improving the condition of the senior living community. This role involves performing various maintenance tasks, including painting, drywall repairs, and general upkeep to ensure the building and common areas are well-maintained for residents. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, able to work independently, and adhere to health and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, unclog toilets, repair faucets, etc.)
• Conduct general upkeep procedures and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry, etc.)
• Perform cleaning tasks as required, including trash disposal.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a maintenance technician
• Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
• Experience with drywall and painting
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices
• Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
• Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work some weekends and/or overtime
• High school diploma or equivalent; building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus

Nice-to-haves

• Spanish speaking is a plus!
• Assisted Living (AL), Independent Living (IL), or senior living experience a plus!
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their uses, cleaning equipment.
