About the position

Hyder Property Management Professionals is looking for a full-time Maintenance Technician responsible for maintaining the functionality and good condition of properties. The role involves a variety of maintenance tasks including HVAC installations, painting, and landscaping, with a focus on adhering to health and safety guidelines. The ideal candidate will work autonomously and ensure that buildings and common areas are well-maintained.

Responsibilities

• Survey buildings and mechanical repair systems to ensure they meet health and safety standards.
• Perform maintenance of electrical systems, including replacing light bulbs and cleaning circuit breaker panels.
• Assist in the setup and repair of ventilation, refrigeration, and other systems.
• Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
• Inspect alarm systems and schedule repairs as needed.
• Conduct manual repairs such as fixing locks and replacing windows.
• Undertake pest control activities, including spraying insecticide.
• Perform general upkeep procedures like landscaping and painting as assigned.
• Assist in budget preparation and ensure adherence to it.
• Manage work orders for move-ins and move-outs.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a maintenance technician.
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other systems.
• Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
• Working knowledge of tools, standard appliances, and devices.
• Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
• Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime.
• High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC certification or relevant field certification is a plus.
• Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) is desired.

Nice-to-haves
