About the position
The Maintenance Technician role at Aerotek involves a combination of mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks, focusing on troubleshooting and maintaining various systems. The position requires hands-on skills in mechanical systems, welding, and electrical diagnostics, with an emphasis on preventative maintenance and equipment servicing to ensure operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot & maintain mechanical, steam, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
- Perform welding, pipe-fitting, and fabrication (lathe and milling experience).
- Conduct Predictive and Preventative Maintenance inspections, service, and repairs.
- Troubleshoot & service pneumatic and mechanical drive systems.
- Rebuild production equipment, spare assemblies, and perform shop work.
- Complete SAP/AMM PM's, work orders, spare part lookup, and time tracking.
- Perform equipment pre-flights and start-up checks.
- Execute machinery changeovers to meet production demands.
- Participate in daily team meetings with information about improvements.
- Engage in cross training and skill set training both electrical and mechanical.
Requirements
- Experience with 480V systems and motor control.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with process flow, crushers, conveyors, and pneumatic systems.
- Experience with PLC diagnostics and ladder logic troubleshooting.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience on the electrical side, particularly with hydraulics and PLC diagnostics.
- Ability to trace wires and troubleshoot electrical issues.
