Maintenance Technician

About the position

The Maintenance Technician role at Aerotek involves a combination of mechanical and electrical maintenance tasks, focusing on troubleshooting and maintaining various systems. The position requires hands-on skills in mechanical systems, welding, and electrical diagnostics, with an emphasis on preventative maintenance and equipment servicing to ensure operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot & maintain mechanical, steam, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Perform welding, pipe-fitting, and fabrication (lathe and milling experience).
• Conduct Predictive and Preventative Maintenance inspections, service, and repairs.
• Troubleshoot & service pneumatic and mechanical drive systems.
• Rebuild production equipment, spare assemblies, and perform shop work.
• Complete SAP/AMM PM's, work orders, spare part lookup, and time tracking.
• Perform equipment pre-flights and start-up checks.
• Execute machinery changeovers to meet production demands.
• Participate in daily team meetings with information about improvements.
• Engage in cross training and skill set training both electrical and mechanical.

Requirements

• Experience with 480V systems and motor control.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems.
• Familiarity with process flow, crushers, conveyors, and pneumatic systems.
• Experience with PLC diagnostics and ladder logic troubleshooting.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience on the electrical side, particularly with hydraulics and PLC diagnostics.
• Ability to trace wires and troubleshoot electrical issues.
