About the position
The Maintenance Technician role at Brookdale West Melbourne involves ensuring the proper functioning and maintenance of community buildings and grounds. Responsibilities
- Maintain the interior and exterior of community buildings and grounds.
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on HVAC, elevator, fire and sprinkler equipment, generators, landscape, kitchen equipment, and emergency pull cord equipment.
- Respond to maintenance requests from community directors and residents in both private rooms and public living areas.
- Maintain positive communication with local fire marshal, building inspector, and other governing jurisdictions.
- Complete general maintenance projects as scheduled or assigned.
Requirements
- Experience in maintenance tasks and familiarity with tools and equipment.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, elevators, fire and sprinkler systems, and general building maintenance.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff.
