About the position

The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing technical and mechanical work to ensure that the physical aspects of the property, including buildings, grounds, amenities, and common areas, meet the company's standards for cleanliness, safety, and functionality. This role involves completing work orders, preventative maintenance, and assisting in property inspections, while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders generated from resident requests for service and performs preventative maintenance on the property.
• Completes the 'make-ready' process to prepare vacant apartment homes for leasing and new move-ins.
• Follows procedures for accessing and obtaining materials, supplies, and tools from the maintenance department.
• Completes documentation and paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
• Assists in maintaining the grounds, common areas, and amenities by performing general cleaning and maintenance tasks.
• Supports cost-cutting and expense control programs by fixing rather than replacing parts when possible.

Requirements

• Valid EPA Universal Certification license or equivalent certifications as required by State and Local jurisdictions.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in customer service and interpersonal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves
