About the position

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the functionality and safety of our facilities. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair various systems within the facility, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Fabricate parts and components as needed to support maintenance operations.
  • Utilize an Ohmmeter and other diagnostic tools to troubleshoot electrical issues effectively.
  • Conduct residential painting tasks to maintain the aesthetic quality of the facilities.
  • Read and interpret schematics for proper installation and repair of equipment.
  • Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking work orders and inventory management.
  • Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to maintenance requests from staff and residents.
  • Supervise maintenance staff when necessary, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and safely.
  • Perform routine inspections of facilities to identify potential issues before they become major problems.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance practices, including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Proficiency in using tools such as Ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to read and understand schematics related to building systems.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on responsiveness and professionalism.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team environment.
  • Previous experience supervising staff is a plus but not required.
