Our maintenance team plays a crucial role in ensuring that our residential units are not only functional but also welcoming and safe for our residents. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance duties that include basic plumbing, electrical work, painting, appliance repairs, and cleaning units and grounds in preparation for inspections and new occupancy. Your exceptional service will be key in assessing and repairing properties to maintain the high standards we set for our homes. In this role, you will perform essential tasks such as basic electrical repairs on appliances, fixtures, and outlets, as well as light plumbing work like clearing stoppages and replacing fittings. You will also engage in carpentry work, which includes fitting doors, freeing windows, and building shelves, along with exterior and interior painting. Your responsibilities will extend to replacing broken glass, tile, carpet, and other fixtures, ensuring that all units are in excellent condition for our residents. You will respond to work orders and resident requests promptly and professionally, assisting in apartment move-in and move-out inspections, and helping the Maintenance Manager or Community Manager schedule annual inspections. Keeping accurate records of preventive maintenance, work orders, and inventories will be part of your daily tasks, as will reporting any maintenance or resident-related concerns to your manager. You will also participate in training seminars and adhere to OSHA standards and company safety policies at all times. Your interactions with residents, contractors, and the property management team will be crucial in providing effective and timely maintenance services.
