About the position
The Maintenance Technician position involves providing comprehensive maintenance and repair services in a camp-based environment located in Delta Junction, Alaska. The role requires expertise in various maintenance tasks, including plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, and HVAC systems. Technicians will work on a rotational schedule of 28 days in camp followed by 14 days off, with all meals and accommodations provided while on-site.
Responsibilities
- Direct facility/building maintenance experience working on plumbing, carpentry, electrical, appliance repair, and/or HVAC.
- Provide maintenance and repairs to structural, mechanical, utility, and electrical systems including commercial and residential laundry equipment.
- Maintenance and repairs of building interiors and exteriors including repairs of finishing, ceilings, flooring, and roofing.
- Repair appliances including stoves, refrigerators, water tanks, recreational electronics, fire equipment, kitchen equipment, sports equipment, parking lot, backup generators, and washing machines.
- Perform light plumbing, washer/dryer, toilet grinder repair, and water heater maintenance.
- Support inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, and equipment and initiate reordering when necessary.
- Work in a remote camp or facilities maintenance site.
Requirements
- 1 year of maintenance experience required.
- Ability to commute to Sioux Falls, SD 57104.
- Ability to relocate to Sioux Falls, SD 57104 before starting work.
