The Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of equipment and facilities. This position involves a variety of tasks aimed at maintaining and repairing machinery and systems to support operational excellence. The technician will be responsible for completing work orders and preventative maintenance as outlined by the eMaint CMMS software, which is essential for tracking maintenance activities and ensuring compliance with safety standards. In addition to routine maintenance tasks, the technician will need to understand the intricate details and operations of various equipment and support processes. This knowledge is vital for troubleshooting issues and minimizing downtime. The role requires proficiency in using Microsoft Office and Fluke eMaint CMMS software to maintain accurate daily records of all work performed. The technician will also be expected to manage an inventory of materials and parts, ensuring that necessary supplies are available for maintenance tasks. The Maintenance Technician will assist in scheduling preventative maintenance and repairs, as well as participate in Root Cause Analysis and Continuous Improvement activities. Collaboration with outside contractors for repairs, preventative maintenance, and upgrades is also a key aspect of this role. The technician will be proactive in looking for and implementing process improvements and machine efficiencies to enhance operational performance. Additionally, the technician will operate, maintain, and clean wastewater treatment systems, and will be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment. Safety is paramount in this role, and the technician will be expected to promote both personal and company image throughout the community. This position requires a hands-on approach and the ability to operate various industrial equipment, including forklifts, boom lifts, and scissor lifts.
