About the position

The Maintenance Technician at S L Nusbaum Realty Co is responsible for ensuring that residents have a safe, comfortable, and attractive living environment by maintaining and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment and appliances. This role involves responding to service calls, performing various maintenance tasks, and ensuring that all repairs are completed promptly.

Responsibilities

• Respond to residents' calls for service.
• Complete plumbing repairs.
• Lay and repair tile.
• Install and repair drywall.
• Repair electrical switches.
• Complete work orders such as repairing and replacing appliances, painting, and repairing locks.
• Shampoo and replace carpets, unstopping drains.
• Repair windows, doors, and molding.
• Perform carpentry work such as sanding and staining cabinets and countertops.
• Assist in other areas around the property as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to read and understand instructions.
• Prior experience in some maintenance capacity.

Nice-to-haves

• High School graduation supplemented by formalized training in one or more trades (HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical, Construction, Plumbing, etc.).
• A minimum of two years related experience.
