About the position
Envolve Community Management Company owns and professionally manages apartment communities located in select markets throughout the southeastern United States. Currently, Envolve is searching for a Maintenance Technician to work at Mill Creek Apartments in Chesapeake, VA. The Maintenance Technician will perform general maintenance and repairs and apply specialized skills in areas such as HVAC, plumbing and electrical as well as assist the Maintenance Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repairs.
- Apply specialized skills in areas such as HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
- Assist the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Repair apartment appliances, water heaters, electrical fixtures, bulbs, commodes, sinks, and perform basic carpentry.
- Perform preventive maintenance duties as needed.
- Complete work orders and forms to assure all documentation regarding operations of maintenance equipment is completed properly.
Requirements
- Experience in plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
- HVAC certification.
- 3+ years of Maintenance Technician experience.
- Ability to move heavy equipment safely using proper equipment.
- Availability for emergency maintenance calls 24/7.
- Background screening and drug test required.
