About the position

Randstad is seeking an experienced maintenance technician to work with a company near Jacksonville Beach. This position will perform facility maintenance and repairs, plan and participate in preventive maintenance work, schedule projects, and repair work orders. The technician will work closely with vendors to ensure the completion of contracted work across the facilities. The working hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM Tuesday through Saturday or 7 AM to 6 PM, providing a structured schedule with excellent benefits. The role requires a high school diploma and offers a salary range of $52,000 to $57,000 per year. The maintenance technician will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, which include light carpentry, drywall repair, painting, and caulking. Additionally, the technician will perform minor adjustments on HVAC systems, such as filter changes and drain pan inspections. The role also involves repairing or replacing locks, servicing doors and hinges, monitoring and fixing plumbing issues, and repairing lighting fixtures. The technician will replace ceiling tiles, perform minor grid work, and install signage and wall decor throughout the campus. Preventative maintenance tasks are a critical part of this role, and the technician will utilize a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) platform to submit, receive, and complete work orders. Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations is essential. The technician will also respond to on-call and after-hours emergency situations and may be assigned special projects or other duties as needed. The position requires working in a smoke-free environment, manual lifting of up to 40 lbs, and standing for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance including light carpentry, drywall repair, painting, caulking, etc.
  • Perform minor adjustments on HVAC systems (filter changes, drain pan inspections, fuse changes, etc.)
  • Repair/Replace locks and service doors and/or hinges
  • Monitor and fix leaks, clogs, or other issues related to plumbing
  • Repair lighting (interior, ceiling, and cubicle lights, change ballasts)
  • Replace ceiling tiles and perform minor grid work
  • Install applicable signage and wall decor throughout campus
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks
  • Utilize CMMS platform to submit, receive and complete work orders
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Respond to on-call and after-hours emergency situations
  • Special projects or other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 5 years of experience in facility maintenance required
  • 3 years of experience in general maintenance preferred
  • 3 years of experience in electronic maintenance preferred
  • Strong skills in plumbing, electrical, and mechanical maintenance
  • Ability to read blueprints and perform project management tasks
  • Proficient in MS Office and communication skills
