About the position

The Maintenance Technician at Flagship Communities is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks within a manufactured home community. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently while adhering to health and safety guidelines. The technician will engage in tasks such as painting, home remodeling, plumbing, electrical work, and landscaping, ensuring that all systems are functional and well-maintained for the residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration, and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary.
• Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
• Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed.
• Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows, etc.).
• Undertake activities of pest control such as spraying insecticide.
• Conduct general upkeep procedures and other tasks as assigned.
• Keep grounds and landscaping in tip-top shape.
• Assist in budget preparation and ensure it is followed.
• Mow, weed eat, and trim hedges, including performing preventative maintenance and repairs of equipment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license.
• Basic understanding of plumbing and other systems.
• Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices.
• Physically capable of manual labor that includes lifting, bending, and reaching.
• Strong work ethic and organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Building maintenance technology or relevant field experience.
• Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification.

Benefits

• Full-time position with competitive hourly wage ($20 - $22 an hour).
