About the position
The Maintenance Technician at Ashley Furniture is responsible for performing preventive maintenance and repair work on production machinery throughout the plant. This role involves monitoring machine operations, instructing workers on proper machine use and maintenance, and supporting manufacturing engineering in implementing process improvements to meet company objectives.
Responsibilities
- Carry out preventive maintenance and repair work on production machinery plant-wide.
- Monitor the operation of machines and instruct workers on how to operate and maintain them.
- Suggest and support manufacturing engineering to implement process improvements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in applicable field preferred but not required.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a high production environment preferred.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing CNC/PLC controlled manufacturing equipment, motor controls, and mechanical assemblies.
- Knowledge of three-phase power and various control voltages is a plus.
- Ability to use all shop tools and testing/measuring equipment required for maintaining or repairing electromechanical control systems.
- Understanding of Lock out tag out procedures (LOTO) is necessary.
