About the position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for evaluating, inspecting, and repairing electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems, ensuring efficient maintenance of material handling machinery and equipment, HVAC systems, and the overall building and grounds. This role requires adherence to governmental regulations and company policies while working closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and Operations Manager.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, inspect, and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
• Perform minor repairs on buildings, fixtures, and plumbing.
• Conduct journey-level maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems and related components.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and other shop equipment.
• Perform minor electrical maintenance including fixture repairs and replacements.
• Conduct minor plumbing maintenance such as leak repairs and drain unclogging.
• Perform minor painting, carpentry, and masonry work.
• Carry out minor maintenance on material handling equipment (MHE) such as light bulb replacements and cleaning.
• Collaborate with outside vendors for specialized repairs.
• Complete other assigned duties as necessary.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of direct or related experience in an automated environment or equivalent experience in a related industry.
• Outstanding technical, planning, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to assess problems, determine root causes, and work towards resolution with a team.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
• Experience with powered belt, roller conveyors, and warehouse induction lines.
• Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and landscaping.
• Mechanical knowledge of MHE/Yard trucks and/or operating experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working on warehouse doors and ramps.
