About the position
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring that the property is clean, safe, and well-maintained. This role involves performing routine and preventative maintenance tasks, making repairs to physical structures, and maintaining the grounds to provide a pleasant environment for guests.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance tasks including carpet cleaning, floor scrubbing, lawn care, and snow removal.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment following manufacturer guidelines.
- Inspect and maintain guest rooms quarterly, logging repairs and scheduling maintenance.
- Plan and execute scheduled maintenance tasks such as painting and equipment servicing.
- Repair parking lots and sidewalks as needed.
- Operate snow removal equipment to maintain outdoor areas.
- Assist housekeeping with moving furniture and storing supplies.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1-3 months of related experience or training.
- Pool certification required and must be maintained throughout employment.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Basic mathematical skills for inventory and supply calculations.
- Basic computer skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in property maintenance or similar roles.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems and repairs.
