About the position
The Maintenance Technician role is a hands-on position focused on the repair and maintenance of CNC equipment, Heat Treat equipment, production automation, and facilities support equipment. The technician will troubleshoot and repair various machine and building systems while ensuring compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations. This position also involves leadership responsibilities, including training and coaching the Facilities and Maintenance team, and coordinating activities to maintain safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform and coordinate the technical training of employees.
- Troubleshoot and repair CNC equipment, Heat Treat equipment, and production automation systems.
- Coordinate departmental personnel activities, including safety observations and daily work assignments.
- Ensure timely service and repair of all facility and maintenance equipment.
- Lead the Facilities and Maintenance team, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency standards are met.
- Implement projects related to maintenance and repair activities.
Requirements
- Associate degree in a technical field preferred.
- Experience with pumps, motors, controls, and conveyors.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- Advanced mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills in pneumatics, hydraulics, and linear motion.
- Strong electrical and electronics background, including PLC, servo amplifiers, frequency drives, sensors, HMI, and 3-phase power.
- Excellent mathematical skills.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in welding, using manual lathe, and milling machine is a plus.
- Knowledge of Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures.
