About the position
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining and servicing manufacturing-related equipment within the facility. This role involves performing a variety of skilled tasks across multiple functions of the preventive maintenance system, ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance service and repairs on assigned equipment.
- Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, replace, and maintain existing mechanical systems and associated equipment including air compressors, air dryers, dehumidifiers, and cooling towers.
- Facilitate and accurately follow specific detailed operational instructions and prints for jobs and setup operations.
- Administer the preventive maintenance system and provide required reports.
- Determine preventative maintenance requirements for new equipment and educate and train equipment operators to perform routine maintenance.
- Maintain a safe and effective work area/environment and use appropriate personal protective and safety equipment.
- Support the Facilities Function as needed.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
- Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance. May need to work nights and weekends, variable schedules, and additional hours as necessary.
Requirements
- Experience with maintenance of manufacturing equipment.
- Knowledge of hydraulics, mechanical systems, pneumatics, and preventive maintenance.
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems and equipment.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with air compressors, air dryers, dehumidifiers, and cooling towers.
- Ability to train equipment operators on routine maintenance procedures.
