About the position
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing maintenance services for an apartment complex in Fairview, TN. This role involves performing a variety of maintenance tasks, including janitorial duties, preventative maintenance, repairs, and unit turnovers, while utilizing various hand and power tools. The technician is expected to ensure the upkeep and functionality of the property through skilled building trade duties.
Responsibilities
- Perform janitorial tasks and maintain cleanliness of the apartment complex.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and repairs on various systems and appliances.
- Handle unit turnovers to prepare apartments for new tenants.
- Operate a variety of hand, power, and shop tools safely and effectively.
- Perform semi-skilled and skilled building trade duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of two years experience in general maintenance including plumbing, painting, basic electrical work, finished carpentry, flooring, and appliance troubleshooting.
- HVAC certification preferred.
- Must provide own tools.
- Possess a valid driver's license.
- Have reliable transportation.
- Must be able to successfully pass a criminal history check.
