About the position

The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of equipment within the plant. This role involves performing preventive and predictive maintenance on various types of machinery, troubleshooting and repairing electrical and pneumatic controls, and supporting production efficiency. The technician will work collaboratively in a team environment, maintain compliance with safety regulations, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on production, packaging, and material handling equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical and pneumatic controls as required.
• Educate production operators regarding equipment operation as needed.
• Promote and maintain a positive attitude and teamwork within the maintenance department and across departments.
• Direct the maintenance of physical assets to ensure continued operation and effectiveness.
• Support the operations team in reviewing operating standards and identifying improvement opportunities.
• Complete long-term predictive and preventive maintenance plans as assigned by the maintenance supervisor.
• Ensure compliance with all company, city, state, and federal regulations.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement Processes.
• Lead by example in enforcing Safety and Quality policies and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's).
• Respond to production trouble calls and repair equipment quickly and safely.
• Maintain cleanliness of equipment and ensure all required certifications are current.

Requirements

• Experience in maintenance and repair of production equipment is required.
• Knowledge of electrical and pneumatic systems is essential.
• Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with team members.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Continuous Improvement Processes.
• Familiarity with DOT and OSHA regulations.
