The Maintenance Technician role at Randstad US involves ensuring the smooth operation of a grocery store's facilities by performing preventive maintenance and repairs on various building systems. This position is crucial for maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient environment for both customers and employees, requiring hands-on problem-solving skills and technical expertise in HVAC, refrigeration, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC, refrigeration, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues, including coolers, freezers, lighting, and shelving.
• Conduct routine inspections to identify potential problems and address them proactively.
• Collaborate with store management and contractors to support facility upgrades and special projects.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Conduct general maintenance tasks such as carpentry, painting, and light fixture replacements.
• Operate, maintain, and install critical building systems, including HVAC and emergency generators.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of maintenance experience, ideally in a fast-paced retail or supermarket environment.
• Technical expertise in diagnosing and repairing refrigeration, ventilation, and other essential systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Certifications in Electrical, HVAC, or Refrigeration are a big plus.

• Bi-lingual - Chinese (Cantonese/Mandarin speaking a plus)
