About the position

Raintree Country Club is seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. This full-time position is essential for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our facilities, which cater to a private, member equity country club environment. The ideal candidate will be focused on providing superior service to our club members and will play a crucial role in maintaining the overall condition of the buildings and the associated equipment and systems used by both associates and guests. As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine inspections of various systems and equipment, including air conditioning, plumbing, electrical fixtures, and more. You will conduct regular building inspections to ensure that all areas, such as floor coverings, walls, ceilings, and air vents, are in optimal condition. Preventative maintenance is a key aspect of this role, as you will be tasked with inspecting and maintaining equipment such as freezers, refrigerators, HVAC systems, and exercise equipment. In addition to scheduled maintenance tasks, you will also respond to unscheduled maintenance requests, assessing emergencies and determining the best course of action to prevent further damage. Communication with the Maintenance Manager is vital, as you will need to report outstanding issues and seek assistance when necessary. Flexibility is important, as you may be required to take on new tasks as directed by the Department Manager. Safety is paramount, and you will be expected to incorporate safe work practices into your daily responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspections of air conditioning equipment, plumbing fixtures, electrical fixtures, and other building components.
  • Conduct routine building inspections, including checking floor coverings, window coverings, walls, ceilings, and air vents.
  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections on equipment and systems such as freezers, refrigerators, HVAC equipment, and pools.
  • Complete regular scheduled maintenance tasks, ensuring repairs are done correctly and notifying associates or guests of completed work.
  • Respond to unscheduled maintenance requests, assessing emergencies and determining solutions to prevent further damage.
  • Communicate outstanding issues or problems to the Maintenance Manager and seek assistance when needed.
  • Maintain flexibility to take on new tasks as directed by the Department Manager.
  • Incorporate safe work practices in all job performance.

Requirements

  • Certificate from a technical college and one year of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Fluency in English to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals; to write reports; and to communicate effectively.
