About the position

The Maintenance Technician at IPS Corporation plays a crucial role in supporting the manufacturing and shipping operations of the Diversified Products division. This position focuses on executing maintenance on equipment and facilities to minimize downtime and enhance operational efficiency. The technician will also engage in continuous improvement processes to optimize maintenance strategies.

Responsibilities

• Execute maintenance on equipment and facilities to reduce production downtime.
• Perform preventative maintenance according to schedules.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues as they arise.
• Analyze maintenance data to improve compliance and reduce downtime.
• Read and interpret mechanical and electrical prints and drawings.
• Use measuring devices such as calipers and electrical meters effectively.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Knowledge of OSHA rules and regulations related to maintenance activities.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical prints.
• Experience with electrical and mechanical troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical circuits.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC systems, compressors, and plumbing.
• Ability to execute work orders and preventative maintenance schedules.

• Basic PLC, ladder logic, and motor drive troubleshooting skills.
