About The Position
Freedom Village Holland is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is essential for the upkeep of residential apartments and public areas, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for our residents. The Maintenance Technician will perform a variety of tasks that require general maintenance and repair skills, utilizing various tools and equipment to address issues as they arise. The position involves both routine and emergency repairs, including electrical malfunctions, plumbing issues, and HVAC system resets. The technician will also be responsible for completing work orders in a timely manner, providing detailed information about the tasks performed, and assisting other maintenance personnel as needed. This role requires a strong work ethic and a commitment to maintaining the physical condition of all buildings on campus, contributing to the overall quality of life for our residents. As part of the Maintenance team, the technician will respond to emergency calls for system and equipment failures, assist in maintaining proper levels of materials and supplies, and be available for scheduled and on-call overtime as necessary. Attendance and punctuality are crucial for this position, as the technician will play a vital role in ensuring the effective and efficient operation of the community. The ideal candidate will possess a working knowledge of residential building maintenance, including plumbing, electrical systems, flooring, and appliances, along with the ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff.
