About the position

The Maintenance Technician at Brookfield Properties is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks within an apartment community. This role requires a skilled professional who can handle HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical work, and machinery maintenance, while also providing exceptional customer service. The technician will work collaboratively within a team environment to ensure the upkeep and functionality of the property.

Responsibilities

• Perform HVAC repairs, cleaning, and replacements.
• Conduct plumbing repairs and installations, including sinks, toilets, and faucets.
• Execute carpentry tasks such as repairing and installing doors, shelves, and locks.
• Carry out painting and drywall/plaster repairs.
• Handle electrical and appliance maintenance, including lighting and wiring.
• Repair and maintain machinery such as chillers, belts, and pumps.
• Provide exceptional customer service to residents and guests.
• Complete other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Proven experience in HVAC maintenance and repair.
• Strong plumbing skills with the ability to install and repair fixtures.
• Carpentry skills for repairs and installations.
• Experience in painting and drywall repair.
• Knowledge of electrical systems and appliance maintenance.
• Ability to repair and maintain machinery and equipment.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Nice-to-haves
