Repair and Maintenance

About the position

The Maintenance Technician at Advanced Technology Services (ATS) is responsible for performing expert-level maintenance and troubleshooting on mechanical and electrical equipment within a factory environment. This role requires a deep technical knowledge of various systems and the ability to lead continuous improvement activities to enhance maintenance practices and equipment reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Perform expert level break-fix and preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Provide troubleshooting support on equipment and technical support on production lines.
  • Maintain in-depth technical knowledge of numerous systems relevant to the job specialty.
  • Program, troubleshoot, and analyze complex control systems to resolve software/hardware issues.
  • Utilize predictive equipment and interpret results for analysis and proactive maintenance.
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement activities using CI tools and methodology.
  • Identify and source parts, supplies, and repair items as necessary.
  • Independently perform maintenance as per industry standards and comply with 5S and housekeeping standards.
  • Set up and operate multiple machining operations including lathe, drill press, and grinder.
  • Study and investigate technical methods and tools to improve maintenance practices.
  • Prepare input for cost analysis for new equipment and repair proposals.
  • Update records and review CMMS history and analyze data.
  • Provide technical content for sales quotations and perform T&M duties as required.
  • Train and coach less proficient technicians and assume project manager responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or equivalent (GED).
  • Associates degree with a Technical focus and 7 years of related experience in specific industry; or, 10 years of experience in specific industry.
  • Proficiency in predictive technologies including vibration analysis or laser interferometer operations.
  • Understanding of electrical, mechanical, fluid power, and control systems.
  • Ability to analyze problems, synthesize alternative solutions, and perform repairs.
  • Must be able to use hand tools and specialized tools as appropriate.

Nice-to-haves

  • Six Sigma experience desired.
