About the position

The Maintenance Technician at Stericycle, Inc. is responsible for performing all maintenance functions, including preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on various equipment throughout the plant. The role emphasizes ensuring operational readiness and safety while maintaining a clean and efficient facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic evaluation on equipment and make repairs as needed to maintain operational readiness.
• Conduct preventive, corrective, and scheduled maintenance on a variety of machinery, including fire tube boilers, steam delivery systems, and air handling equipment.
• Maintain incinerator process equipment and systems, including burners and combustion controls.
• Perform light electrical maintenance on plant equipment, including various power systems and PLC troubleshooting.
• Document maintenance results through completed work orders based on schedule and priority.
• Perform general work or other assignments to ensure a safe and efficient facility.

Requirements

• Experience in performing maintenance on industrial machinery and equipment.
• Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including 480V/240V/120V/24V power systems.
• Familiarity with PLC and light robotics troubleshooting is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems maintenance.
• Knowledge of air pollution control devices and systems.
