About the position
The Maintenance Technician role at Lear Corporation in Hammond, IN, involves performing preventative maintenance inspections and repairs on various equipment and systems. Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repairs according to written instructions.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues, including automated fixtures, Fanuc robots, Atlas Copco tools, EOL testers, PLC systems, and industrial controls equipment.
- Communicate potential problems and corrective actions to the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Assist maintenance technicians and supervisors with issues affecting the build process.
- Attend technical training and educational sessions as scheduled by the supervisor.
- Assist the Maintenance Supervisor in training other technicians on maintenance tasks and troubleshooting.
- Fill in for absent maintenance technicians as required.
Requirements
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Knowledge of automation equipment.
- Basic computer skills.
- Understanding of Fanuc robots maintenance and troubleshooting.
