About the position

The Maintenance Technician at JLL is responsible for performing both preventative and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within assigned facilities. This role involves assisting mechanics with maintenance tasks and independently executing defined responsibilities, ensuring the upkeep of property interiors and exteriors.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing equipment/systems.
• Assist mechanics in maintenance and repair efforts.
• Independently perform defined maintenance tasks.
• Conduct inspections and repairs on property interiors and exteriors, including walls, flooring, and installed fixtures.
• Clean HVAC coils, change filters and belts.
• Maintain and repair locks, locking mechanisms, doors, and furniture.
• Document maintenance activities for fire extinguishers and other building systems.
• Repair plumbing components such as toilets, sinks, and drains.
• Prepare, prime, and paint building surfaces as needed.
• Complete special tasks including painting, locksmith work, and tenant service requests.
• Prioritize PMs, corrective, and emergent work orders for the site.
• Update work order status in real time using CMMS system.
• Escalate problems or issues to the customer and manager in a timely manner.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of related experience and/or training in carpentry, electrical, and plumbing.
• Experience with hand tools and power tools.
• Proficient in basic computer applications such as MS Office, Outlook, and CMMS (Maximo).

Nice-to-haves

• EPA Universal License
• BAS experience
• Experience with preventative maintenance on HVAC equipment.
