About the position
The Maintenance Technician position at Aerotek involves performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on automated equipment in a leading-edge manufacturing environment. This role is crucial for ensuring the operational efficiency of machinery and automation technology, contributing to the future of transportation.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on automated equipment.
- Conduct breakdown repairs and troubleshoot issues on machinery.
- Read and interpret blueprints, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics, and mechanical/electrical diagrams.
- Connect wires to motors and other electrical equipment, replace switches and fuses, and splice wires.
- Replace or repair belts, chains, or cables on machinery.
- Troubleshoot and program PLCs and work with robotics.
Requirements
- 5-7 years of prior experience in industrial maintenance required.
- Knowledge of automated equipment and robotics.
- Understanding of motor controls (VFDs, Servo, PLCs).
- Fundamental understanding of mechanical maintenance, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
