About the position
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the proper functioning and appearance of the property. This includes completing work orders, preventative maintenance, and preparing vacant apartments for new residents. The role requires a proactive approach to maintenance, ensuring compliance with safety standards and company policies while promoting a positive image of the community.
Responsibilities
- Completes assigned work orders generated from resident requests for service and preventative maintenance on the property.
- Completes the 'make-ready' process to prepare vacant apartment homes for leasing and new move-ins.
- Follows procedures for accessing and obtaining materials, supplies, equipment, and tools from the maintenance department.
- Completes documentation and other paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assists in maintaining the grounds, common areas, and amenities by performing general cleaning and maintenance tasks.
- Supports cost-cutting and expense control programs by fixing rather than replacing parts when possible.
- Performs preventative maintenance tasks as required.
- Willing to work a flexible schedule and be on-call.
Requirements
- Minimum one year of apartment maintenance experience or technical training.
- Valid Driver's License is required.
- AC Certification I and II.
