About the position

Cogir Senior Living is seeking an experienced and energetic Maintenance Technician for their retirement community, Cogir of Mill Creek. The role focuses on maintaining the structural integrity of the building and addressing all maintenance-related issues to ensure timely repairs and adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities

• Perform routine building maintenance tasks such as painting, floor care, pressure washing, and basic plumbing repairs.
• Ensure all repairs and service orders are completed promptly and according to operating and safety standards.
• Maintain scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on equipment.
• Repair and maintain vacated rooms promptly.
• Ensure that the walls, floor coverings, doors, and woodwork in the common areas are well maintained.
• Maintain positive communication with local fire marshals, building inspectors, and other governing jurisdictions.
• Work within the legal scope of local and state codes.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Prior maintenance experience with a general maintenance skillset, including HVAC, drywall repair, carpentry, minor electrical, plumbing, basic repairs, painting, floor care, and landscaping.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their uses, as well as cleaning equipment.
• Experience in commercial property, hotel, independent living, assisted living, memory care, or senior living is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in senior living environments such as Independent Living (IL), Assisted Living (AL), or Memory Care (MC).
