About the position

The Maintenance Technician at Continuum of Care is responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks for agency properties, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and general upkeep of buildings and grounds. This role requires a valid driver's license and involves traveling to different locations to complete work orders. The technician will work under the supervision of the Vice President of Facilities Management and is expected to maintain a professional demeanor while interacting with clients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Completes all maintenance work order requests as assigned within established deadlines.
• Demonstrates dependability, reliable attendance, and punctuality.
• Works within expense limits established and submits maintenance purchase receipts in a timely manner.
• Responsible for on-call 24-hour emergency maintenance service as scheduled.
• Maintains a professional courteous manner with all clients, vendors, contractors, and fellow employees.
• Completes grounds work as directed by Facilities Manager/VP of Facilities, including trash pickup and landscaping maintenance.
• Assists other team members with projects as needed.
• Conducts agency vehicle inspections as needed and reports mechanical malfunctions of property equipment to supervisor.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Experience in maintenance including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and appliance repair.
• Ability to lift weights ranging from 10 to 100 pounds as needed.
• Proficient in standard maintenance techniques, materials, and equipment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Microsoft Office (1 year preferred).
• Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
