About the position

As a Maintenance Technician at ViaQuest, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities through a variety of maintenance tasks. This full-time position offers a competitive hourly wage of $20 to $25, depending on experience. You will be part of a dedicated team that provides innovative services under ViaQuest's Circle of Care, which includes Hospice, Psychiatric & Behavioral Solutions, Day & Employment Services, and Residential Services. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of maintenance services and repairs across multiple skill areas, including plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical repairs, and installation. In this role, you will perform essential tasks such as changing light bulbs, installing paper dispenser units, changing filters, and changing locks on doors. You will also be responsible for minor decorative maintenance and other tasks that may require the expertise of a licensed skilled tradesperson or journeyman. Safety is a top priority, and you will be expected to identify and correct unsafe working conditions with management oversight, attend assigned training programs, and comply with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures. Additionally, you will report all accidents and injuries in a timely manner and apply OSHA and related local safety requirements to all assigned work. You will also assist with special events as assigned, contributing to the overall mission of ViaQuest to provide quality, highly-personalized care and services. This position requires a commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient working environment while ensuring that the needs of the people we serve are met effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance service or repairs in one or more skill areas, including minor plumbing, carpentry, painting, and electrical repairs or installation.
  • Change light bulbs, install paper dispenser units, change filters, and change locks on doors.

Requirements

  • Experience in maintenance is preferred.
  • Comfortable traveling throughout our service areas.
