About the position
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team at a privately owned management company overseeing 544 apartment homes. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical knowledge and experience in maintaining and repairing various systems and equipment. This role requires a proactive approach to troubleshooting and the ability to lead and supervise maintenance projects effectively, ensuring all facilities are in optimal working condition and contributing to a safe and efficient environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment and systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues using schematics and technical manuals.
- Fabricate parts as needed to ensure timely repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Conduct residential painting tasks as required to maintain aesthetic standards.
- Operate logic controllers for automated systems, ensuring proper functionality.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols during all maintenance activities.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role.
- Residential Maintenance experience is required.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various systems.
- Familiarity with schematics and technical drawings.
- Experience in welding is preferred but not required.
- Proficient in using CMMS for tracking maintenance tasks.
- Ability to supervise and lead a team effectively.
- Knowledge of residential painting techniques is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in welding is preferred but not required.
