About the position
The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for providing on-site technical support and equipment maintenance, ensuring the proper functioning of systems and equipment. This role involves assessing and addressing equipment and system problems, while also interacting with engineering and production management. The technician will work primarily on the second shift, with a focus on emergency repairs and special project support.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site technical support and equipment maintenance.
- Perform emergency equipment repairs as needed.
- Assist with waste treatment support.
- Assess and provide corrective action to equipment and system problems.
- Interact effectively with engineering and production management and staff.
- Prioritize work assignments to accommodate changing needs.
- Support production duties and special projects.
Requirements
- Previous experience in maintenance or alternative formal training.
- Strong electrical and mechanical skills.
- Ability to read and accurately use multimeters, micrometers, dial indicators, and other precision measuring tools.
- Strong math skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with co-workers, supervisors, and engineers.
