About the position

This position involves establishing and maintaining positive relationships with customers, vendors, and co-workers through effective communication. The role includes performing preventative maintenance, inspections, and service requests for equipment and systems in a grow house environment, ensuring that all maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Adjust, fix or replace hardware on doors, cabinets, furniture, bathroom partitions, and windows.
• Replace stained or damaged ceilings, flooring, cove base, wall protection, and ceramic tiles.
• Change light bulbs, fixtures, ballasts, switches, receptacles, and reset circuit breakers.
• Replace faucet washers and change toilet seats.
• Patch and paint walls.
• Repair roofing, blacktop, cement, masonry, and block.
• Remove or relocate snow and de-ice grounds.
• Tour buildings and grounds to assess conditions.
• Document all facility deficiencies through daily travels.
• Complete assigned Preventative Maintenance slips and repair or report deficiencies.
• Complete daily Work Orders and respond to Emergency Work Orders.
• Handle urgent and routine work orders including uncrating, moving, assembling, and installing equipment.
• Forward work orders that need to be completed by specific trades.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Certificate of completion of a vocational school in building maintenance or a related field.
• Three to five years of working experience in building maintenance.
• Experience in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and painting skills.
• Ability to read prints, sketches, wiring diagrams, and schematic drawings.
• Experience in using industrial hand and power tools.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and be customer-oriented.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Physical ability to climb, work in close quarters, lift heavy objects, and work outside in extreme weather conditions.
• Flexibility to work different hours and shifts.
