About the position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing scheduled, unscheduled, and preventative maintenance and repair on various beverage manufacturing and packaging equipment. This role requires strong mechanical skills, including knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, conveyor systems, and PLC usage. The technician plays a crucial role in minimizing downtime and ensuring the operational efficiency of machinery.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled, unscheduled, and preventative maintenance and repair of beverage manufacturing and packaging equipment.
• Complete preventive and proactive maintenance to prevent equipment breakdowns.
• Utilize root-cause analysis to investigate breakdowns and line stoppages.
• Act as the initial responder when a line stops producing, ensuring appropriate mechanical help is on site.
• Prioritize work to ensure timely maintenance, repair, and installation of equipment and tools.
• Complete all required paperwork and documentation in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
• Repair or maintain the operating condition of industrial production machinery or equipment.
• Inspect, assemble, disassemble, and replace machinery components as necessary.
• Observe and test machinery operation to diagnose malfunctions using testing devices.
• Operate newly repaired machinery to verify the adequacy of repairs.
• Analyze test results and machine error messages to diagnose equipment problems.
• Inspect operating machines for conformance with operational and safety standards.
• Support the facility's food safety and quality programs.

Requirements

• Strong mechanical skills in hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, and conveyor systems.
• Experience with PLC usage.
• Ability to perform root-cause analysis for troubleshooting.
• Proficient in using voltmeters and other testing devices.
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Knowledge of food safety and quality compliance.
