About the position

The Maintenance Technician at Eurostampa North America is responsible for repairing and maintaining machinery, buildings, and facilities. This role requires a broad knowledge of maintenance skills, including mechanical repair, electrical work, pneumatics, minor plumbing, and minor hydraulics. The ideal candidate is motivated, has a strong work ethic, and is eager to advance within the company.

Responsibilities

  • Perform repairs and maintenance on machinery, buildings, and facilities.
  • Coordinate to develop and establish standard practices in maintenance techniques and scheduling.
  • Liaise with and control subcontractors for maintenance tasks.
  • Complete certifications of compliance and maintain all maintenance documentation.
  • Develop a Preventative Maintenance schedule for key machinery.
  • Control key materials and spare parts for maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety aspects of building and machinery.
  • Make repairs or adjustments as needed and regularly inspect parts for replacement.
  • Perform essential maintenance on the building, facilities, and grounds.
  • Assist in determining the nature and scope of forthcoming projects and requirements for completion.
  • Order maintenance supplies while adhering to budget expectations.
  • Perform routine housekeeping activities and ensure adherence to safety procedures.
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to team efforts.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Three to five years of prior industrial maintenance experience.
  • Experience in the maintenance of printing industry standard machinery.
  • Ability to read layouts, plans, exploded diagrams, and electric schematics.
  • Good computer skills, including web and office software, with AutoCAD preferred.
  • Mechanically and electrically inclined, with knowledge of single phase and three-phase systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Gallus, ABG Digicon, and Prati Inspection machinery.
  • Advanced math skills (Imperial and metric systems).
  • Ability to operate various hand and power tools and measuring equipment.
