About the position

The Maintenance Technician at Brookdale Senior Living is responsible for ensuring that community buildings and grounds are maintained in top condition. This role involves performing both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance tasks, addressing maintenance requests from residents and community directors, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies. Responsibilities

• Maintain the interior and exterior of community buildings and grounds.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on HVAC, elevator, fire and sprinkler equipment, generators, landscape, kitchen equipment, and emergency pull cord equipment.
• Respond to maintenance requests from community directors and residents in both private rooms and public living areas.
• Maintain positive communication with local fire marshal, building inspector, and other governing jurisdictions.
• Complete general maintenance projects as scheduled or assigned.

Requirements

• Experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role.
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance practices.
• Ability to work with tools and perform hands-on maintenance tasks.
• Strong communication skills to interact with residents and staff.
