About the position

The Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the satisfaction of residents by performing a variety of maintenance tasks across multiple properties. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of maintenance repair and service, including troubleshooting and providing excellent customer service. The technician will handle routine maintenance issues, respond to work orders, and maintain professional relationships with residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Prep walls, prime, and paint apartments
• Repair sheetrock and finish work including taping and floating to prepare for painting
• Replace hardwood laminate flooring as needed
• Installation of baseboards
• Repair and/or replace faucets
• Remove and install light fixtures and bulbs
• Install smoke detectors
• Repair cabinet hardware
• Repair or replace appliances such as stoves, refrigerators, and garbage disposals
• Remove and install bathroom mirrors and cabinets
• Remove and install electrical outlets and light switches
• Remove and install blinds
• Repair and/or replace interior doors and hardware
• Repair leaking toilets and faucets
• Repair plumbing backups
• Pool maintenance
• Cleaning of sidewalks and parking areas
• Cleaning of community grounds
• Landscaping watering, mowing, and trimming
• Schedule and respond to work orders, advising Property Manager on progress
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the Property Manager

Requirements

• Electrical, plumbing, painting & carpentry experience
• Previous maintenance experience
• Must have reliable transportation & a valid driver's license
• Bilingual is a plus
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented and team player
