About the position

The Maintenance Technician role involves ensuring the smooth operation of equipment and systems within an industrial coatings company. The technician will be responsible for repairing broken equipment, performing regular maintenance, troubleshooting electrical issues, and adhering to safety protocols. This position requires a blend of mechanical and electrical skills, as well as the ability to work with various systems and potentially hazardous materials.

Responsibilities

• Repair broken equipment and perform regular maintenance to ensure operational efficiency.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and work with electrical schematics.
• Operate and maintain Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).
• Manage plumbing and heating systems effectively.
• Handle potentially hazardous chemicals safely and follow safety procedures.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar role.
• Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Familiarity with electrical schematics, PLCs, VFDs, and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and lockout/tagout procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of robotics is a plus.
