About the position

The Maintenance Technician at Community Interactions Inc. is responsible for performing skilled and semi-skilled tasks related to the repair and maintenance of machinery, buildings, and equipment. This role requires proficiency in various trades and the ability to work independently, following written and oral instructions. The technician will handle a range of maintenance tasks, ensuring the functionality and safety of the facilities.

Responsibilities

• Repairs doors, doorframes, and furniture.
• Responsible for painting the interior of all buildings.
• Performs masonry work in connection with buildings.
• Installs electric circuits, wall plugs, and lighting fixtures; repairs fans if capable.
• Performs roof repairs; installs flashing and spouting.
• Repairs and makes adjustments to laundry washing and drying equipment.
• Repairs and adjusts refrigeration and air conditioning equipment.
• Performs all repair work on buildings including overall maintenance, plumbing, and cosmetic work as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Mechanical knowledge in at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades.
• Knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and practices used in maintenance.
• Ability to interpret and work from sketches and diagrams.
• Effective communication skills with all levels of staff.
