About the position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the good condition and functionality of premises, performing a variety of maintenance tasks including HVAC installations, painting, and landscaping. The role requires a thorough professional with practical skills and attention to detail, capable of working autonomously while adhering to health and safety guidelines. The goal is to maintain buildings and common areas in optimal condition.

Responsibilities

  • Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they meet health and safety standards.
  • Perform maintenance of electrical systems, including replacing light bulbs and sockets, and cleaning and repairing circuit breaker panels.
  • Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration, and other systems, conducting repairs as necessary.
  • Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
  • Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed.
  • Perform manual repairs, such as fixing locks and replacing windows.
  • Conduct pest control activities, including spraying insecticide.
  • Carry out general upkeep procedures, such as landscaping, painting, and carpentry as assigned.
  • Assist in budget preparation and ensure adherence to it.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician.
  • Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other systems.
  • Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
  • Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices.
  • Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
  • Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology, or relevant field is a plus.
  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) is desired.
