About the position
The Maintenance Trade Helper assists skilled maintenance workers by performing various tasks that support the maintenance trades. This role involves supplying materials and tools, cleaning work areas, and assisting journey-level workers with their tasks. The helper's responsibilities may vary by trade, with some being limited to basic support functions while others may involve specialized machine operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist skilled maintenance workers by supplying materials and tools.
- Clean work areas, machines, and equipment.
- Hold materials or tools for journey-level workers.
- Perform unskilled tasks as directed by craftsperson.
- Engage in specialized machine operations as permitted by trade.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Verifiable vocational training or one year of experience in HVAC.
- Ability to follow written or verbal instructions.
- Possession of a valid state driver's license.
- Must have and wear hard-toed safety shoes meeting ASTM F2413-05 standards.
Nice-to-haves
- CFC Universal Refrigerant Class A certification.
