The Maintenance Trainee Associate at Land O'Lakes, Inc. is a part-time position aimed at students pursuing an associate's degree or higher in maintenance, electrical, or related fields. The role involves performing preventative maintenance and repair work on production equipment and facility systems under the supervision of experienced maintenance personnel. The trainee will gain hands-on experience while adhering to safety and quality standards, contributing to the efficient operation of the plant.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant processing equipment while completing preventative maintenance requirements.
- Accurately document and capture work and parts into the JDE E1 system.
- Maintain a clean and functional work area, tools, and shop equipment.
- Follow the Pine Island preventative maintenance program and maintain maintenance logs accurately.
- Perform additional duties within the department or plant as scheduled or requested.
- Make recommendations to improve maintenance work and ensure efficient operation of plant assets.
- Follow 1QMS guidelines and communicate quality concerns regarding defective products.
- Complete training requirements for the position and keep management informed of relevant information.
- Use proper lifting techniques and follow plant safety rules and procedures.
Requirements
- Must be a current student seeking an associates or higher in a maintenance, electrical or related field.
- Must have mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Must possess interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
