About The Position

The Maintenance Turn Lead will be responsible for, but not limited to working with all NYS Leadership and related teams to provide safe and timely responses to mill issues and calls while ensuring NYS/Maintenance department policies and procedures are followed, supporting maintenance down days and projects, taking a lead role in any accidents and/or emergency situations, and following up with Maintenance Supervisors/Leads on any mill or personnel issues. The Maintenance Turn Lead will also be expected to demonstrate Safety-Minded support of our entire Maintenance Team while seeking to provide World-Class Reliability for our customers. The position will be expected to work nights, weekends and/or holidays as needed. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Requirements

• 5 years Industrial Maintenance preferably Steel Related.
• Leadership Presence and Courage.
• Teamwork and coordination skills.
• Problem Solving & Judgment/Decision Making abilities.
• Accountability and reliability in work habits.
• Initiative in seeking out work and responsibilities.
• Strong communication skills.
• Basic mechanical, electrical and engineering knowledge.
