About the position
The Maintenance Worker I position at Hillsborough County is responsible for maintaining the physical structure and equipment of the Nursing Home. This role involves performing skilled maintenance tasks to ensure the facility is in good repair, under the supervision of the Director of Maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Perform skilled level wall and ceiling finishing, patching, and joint taping.
- Install finishes such as wall covering and cove base.
- Apply prime and finish coats of paint for professional results.
- Rig staging and scaffolding as needed.
- Utilize paint spraying and sandblasting techniques when required.
- Respond to snow removal emergencies and other urgent maintenance needs.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3-5 years of experience in trades related to maintenance.
- Valid New Hampshire driver's license; CDL preferred.
- Mechanical knowledge and facilities maintenance experience.
- Excellent physical condition and ability to perform manual labor.
Nice-to-haves
